And littering.

Apparently the cost of the daily entry fee and/or state park sticker work well in keeping the riff raff out of the state parks. Never understood why they changed it to FREE during this pandemic.

As of Friday (4/09)... Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest closed all campgrounds, trails, boat landings and day access areas through May.

Probably because it would require someone to be there to collect it, and monitor.

That's a Fed. decision, correct?I

The station at my local State Park has someone there.  I'm not sure if that's the same everywhere though.

IIRC this was about the time people were still panicking over the pandemic, and the idea was to get people out of doors in non-mass spreader events. Apparently the possibility they might be creating one wasn't considered.
