NATURE'S DANGEROUS DECLINE

I was sitting in my swing and watching the fireflies in my backyard this evening. When I sell my property and the person who moves in will probably go over to the "dark side" and spread herbicides and insecticides and the fireflies will be gone forever. Cry

When I was a child the streams in the Driftless had a biodiversity of fish, amphibians, snakes, crayfish etc. but now the biodiversity is gone. Cry

Science destroyed the biodiversity in the Driftless streams but science can not bring back the biodiversity in the streams. Embarrassed

Mother Nature always amazes me but why is man such an idiot? Embarrassed

Wisconsin is again spraying for gypsy moths this year and I have NO bumblebees to pollinate my garden this year.

Did all the spraying for Gypsy Moths do more harm than good?? Cry

The spraying kills all the insects the small mammals eat, the small mammals make the holes the bumblebees need for their nests, their are no pollinators for the farmer's crops, just because science brought the gypsy moth to United States. Cry

Science brought the Gypsy Moth to the United States and science can not stop the spread of the Gypsy Moth. Embarrassed

In the Philippines a student needs to plant 10 trees before he can graduate from school. Cool

I would go and plant 10 willows or cottonwoods along a stream or river that gets polluted after the stream or river flows through our cities so the willows and cottonwoods can do their "magic" and make the streams and rivers pristine again. Wink
