Title: Smith Customer Service Post by BW on Jul 5th, 2019 at 10:20am
Recently, as the result of the leash coming loose, my sunglasses fell off and I didn't notice until I was back at the car after dark. Having a general idea of where they might be I back tracked to look for them. No luck. Then the next morning I went back again and found them on the path to the river. Sometime between when they fell off and when I found them ( a period of only about 12 hours) they had been stepped on - probably by me either when they fell off or when I went back the night before to look for them. Crap.
I talked to Smith and they said to send them in. They looked at them and I wasn't surprised when they said they couldn't cover them under their warranty as having a manufacturers defect but I was surprised at what they did next. I was given the option to get a new pair - any pair - at 60% off of the retail price. Bottom line - they kept me as a customer and my new glasses should arrive next week. Well done, Smith! |

Good news!!! I just bought a pair of Smiths. Hopefully I can keep them for a while without breaking or losing them, but this definitely puts my mind a little more at ease!

Wow...that's service, and understanding customer needs!
I have a pair of prescription Smiths with a line-less bifocal on them. They were an absolute pleasure to work with getting the lenses made and glasses delivered. |
