Comments: Did a little flyfishing last Wed. & Thur. on the Wolf just north of Langlade. We arived at about 2 PM on Wed. the water had warmed up to about the low 70s and very little was happening Trout wise. My friend Arnie managed to pick up 1 rainbow from a hole by a big rock but otherwise it was shiner-city save for a nice little small mouth that rose to an Adams on a strech of flats.

Thursday morning was a different story. The temp had dipped to 50 over night and at 7 AM the water temp was 64 and the trout were feeding on small bugs floating on the serface. I caught 4 Browns on tiny white dunns on #20 and 22 hooks by watching for individual fish and throwing to them. As the day warmed i switched to several different wet flies and had luck with #14 beaded Prince nymphs near large boulders, 2 more browns and the largest shiner I've ever caught.

The trout were all rather small but it was still a whole lot better than being at work.
