Weather: partly cloudy
Water: low
Hatches: ephoron leukon
Time: 8:45pm
Comments: Tex Helms and I fished the Wolf river above Langlade and caught a couple of medium trout early in the evening on small Caddis flys. About 8:30 or 8:45 the "white wolfs" began to emerge! It was beautiful! The flies were everyware! It was like a snow storm! We caught and released fish (all Brown Trout ) as fast as we threw flies to them until the spinner fall got heavy. By then it was so dark you couldn't distinguish your fly from the rest. The water was covered with spinners! By 9:45 we quit. I have no idea how many fish we caught but it was one of the best fishing days of my life!
