Comments: Started fishing the Wolf in the Langlade area on Thursday evening. Water temps 63, PH 8.4. Caught a 14" rainbow on Telesaks Killer just below his fly shop. Between four of us, fishing from Thursday evening until Monday afternoon, up and down the Wolf from the highway M bridge to Hollister Road, we caught very few fish. Most were small browns with some rainbows all about 8" There were hatches of Sulphurs, Baetis, Caddis some Drakes, but few rises, and fewer fish. By Monday afternoon the water was starting to turn "silty". Water temps taken 8 different times at 8 different spots ranged from 63o in the am to 70o in late afternoons. Has the reduction in the stocking program left the Wolf a bit empty? I'd be interested in hearing other experiences. Thanks.
