Comments: I had not fished this section of the Willow before, however a friend had told me of a succesful outing he had useing hopper imitations a few years back. Even though there were hoppers presant on my walk to the stream the browns were not interested in my imitations. There were some caddis working the edges and so in switching to a #16 elk hair caddis succes also came my way. They wanted the fly drifted tight to the weeds and with the wind gusting, made the fishing quite challangeing. This is quite a narrow stream and when I did things right browns in the 8"-10" range were the reward. These are very darkly marked fish with nearly flouresant orange spots. Beautiful fish by anyones standards.

Tight lines, Jerry
