Weather: hot
Water: clear
Hatches: pale evening duns?
Time: 5-8:30 p.m.
Comments: Fished this beautiful little stream off of Highway C out of Wautoma on Saturday, June 28. The water was clear and not particularly low, and an occasional pale evening dun (something small and white, around #16, in any event) emerged. The grass along the stream is shoulder-high, however, which made casting a bit challenging. Caught and released a couple of small rainbows on a pale evening dun, and then fished downstream to the deeper holes with a bead-head prince, in #12. Caught and released two beautiful 11" rainbows and a 12" brown on that nymph. My thanks to David Seligman for taking me to this stream earlier in June.
