Streamside Report

Tomorrow River

Portage Co.

6/23/98

Weather: Clear and warm mid 80's
Water: Clear, 60 and Water level was a little low
Hatches: Hex & caddis
Time: evening

Comments: Finally got a chance to go fishing with Bob Kinderman again, we have been trying to get together since the opening of inland season. It's nice to go fishing with someone whom you have so much in common with, it makes the hour drive to the river go fast.

We had gotten to the river early and started fishing with caddis flies, and I caught one small Brookie before the Hex started to fall. Once it got good and dark (about 9:15) the spinners stared to fall. There were only a few duns on the water.

The spinner fall lasted about 1/2 hour, I did land and release two nice fish about 14" long and had a LDR on a bigger fish. The Hex hatch seems to be slowing down in the central part of the state.
