Tomorrow River Fishing Report
September 3rd. 1996
- Date: 9/3/'96
- Place: Tomorrow River
- State: Wisconsin
- Water level: high
- Water clarity: cloudy
- Water temp: 67
- Air temp :83 and falling
Got up to the upper Tomorrow late afternoon and caught one nice brookie on a hopper pattern, glad to get the skunk off! He had some really nice color. Had some Fall flying ants landing on the water, just like the ones in Ross Mullers book (luckily I had tied some up) and the fish started to rise to them, once I figured out what they were and got one tied on, it started to rain:-( and shut them down!
I did not feel like fishing in the rain, it was to humid to wear rain gear so I went to the lower Tomorrow and fished there and there were some Ephrons coming off and a few White millers. The water was high and cloudy, must of had some rain the last few days. The fish were not on the hatch but I had 2 misses.
It would seem that the Ephrons and White millers are winding down, Time to start thinking about the fall runs on Lake Michigan tributaries.
