Comments: We were a bit surprised to find the river was running high and cloudy, we did not think we had gotten that much rain. We drove up river and found the river to be running a bit clearer further up. There was no surface activity when we got to the water. Bob had a few strikes at his EHC and I had some luck with bead head before the hatch started.
Once the hatch started the fish were still not rising. I have seen this before with the Ephoron hatch. The Ephoron emerge so quickly the fish have little chance of eating them. But once the spinner fall started the fish responded. Bob and I caught and released a fair amount of fish, no big ones, but it sure felt good to get back on the water.
