Tomorrow River Fishing Report

Aug. 28th. 1996

Got to the upper tomorrow at 2:30 pm for some hopper action. It took three casts to land the first fish and 2 more casts and a miss. I fished for 2 hours and had at least a dozen missed or short strikes and landed (and released) 3 more fish. I was using a Joe's Hopper, when I had the sort strikes. I tried using a cricket and did not have any luck.

When to the Lower Tomorrow for the evening hatches. When I got there White Millers (white caddias fly) every where and the fish were jumping right out of the water to catch them. That's what it looked like anyway. I had good luck with a White caddias pattern. About 7pm I started to see White Wolfs (Ephoron Leukon, white may fly), I switched to that pattern and continued to catch fish. There were not as many White Wolfs coming off as there was 1 1/2 weeks ago, but more White Millers. I did see some green drakes coming off but did not have a pattern for them. Maybe the fish were jumping for them? Once it got good and dark the fish quit rising, there were no spinners on the water.

Try to fish after dark, there was a full moon and I was using cricket, did not have any luck after dark.
