Comments: Decided to try some afternoon fishing on the middle Tomorrow River. Not a bad day; landed a few browns and lost a few others. They was a good hatch of large mayflies (not sure--possibly march browns or grey fox??)as well as some lt. cahills. However for the amount of hatch going on, they weren't many fish on top. I had the best luck with bead head hare's ear and phesant tail nymphs. One important note: The river is starting to get quite warm as it does during the summer below Amherst. We need to remember not to stress the trout out too much on the slower sections of water.
