Weather: Partly cloudy
Water Conditons: Clear, very good level
Hatches: none
Time: 4pm to dark
Comments: Fished the tomorrow both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Saturday went to the lower, near the Waupaca county line. I did not see any bugs coming off, but I found some small browns rising to something. The only thing I could see on the water appeared to be small, dark, and dead. Spinners? I'm not sure what the heck it was. However, a size 18 Griffith's gnat seemed to be close enough. The trout agreed. I caught about 10 browns between 6 to 11 inches, and missed several more. Felt good to get a few up on top.
Sunday afternoon I fished the upper Tomorrow. Again, no real hatches coming off. I did see a very few BWO, about 16 or 18. Caught several small brookies on a size 18 BWO and size 16 adams. Managed to drag one off the bottom of a pool with a bead head hare's ear. Another beautiful day on the river!
Hope to fish again this weekend - BWO should be hatching, sulphurs are still a few weeks off.
