Weather: sunny windy
Water: tea-color/sl. turbid
Hatches: BWO,stones
Time: 3pm-7pm
Comments: I stopped at several spots along the lower tomorrow. I again caught a few small planters from last fall(whoopie) downstream from A on BH hare's ear #14. Not too many fish rising, maybe cuz the wind , and the tea-water. I stopped and fished down at a bridge off of the rustic road and hooked into and released a legitimate 16 inch beauty(for a Brown) in a relatively deep and kinda fast drop of run thing. I hookeed it right in front of me but it beat me up pretty good taking a fair amount of line. I use a 9ft 6wt. and it still pulled me around town, tried taking me down to the mill in Waupaca. Anyhow then I quit, can't do much better. Again I caught him on a BEADhead hare's Ear. Still looking to hook inot a Rainbow.(ha ha ha ha)!
I ran into another uwsp student that had been down to Missourii fishin for Rainbows over spring break. (just not fair). More rain to come. good and bad! bad for short-term fishin.
If anybody knows where there are Rainbows besides the West Branch of White let me know please. Besides Montana
