Weather: Sunny & Windy
Water: Cold
Hatches: Not really
Time: 2:00
Comments: First time out since moving to Wisconsin last fall. First time fly-fishing in 3 or 4 years. Several other fishermen enjoying the weather as well. Started out with nymphs. Noticed some bugs on the water so switched to BWO. Switched again to Adams to match a bug I saw on the water. Caught 4 small ones, 6 to 8 inches on Adams #16. I think they were Brook trout, light colored. Around 3:30 caught a nice 12 - 15 inch Brown on same. Honestly, I think it was closer to 15 inches. Nice fish. Good fight. Practiced CPR (Consider Proper Release), so he's still out there with the little ones. Four big doe crossed the river within 25 yards of me, too. It was a great day. Can hardly wait to get back out there.
