Weather: 55 deg. - Sunny
Water: Low & Clear
Hatches: Midge & Black Stoneflies
Time: 10:30 - 2:30

Comments: Fished south of Amherst for the first time this year. The weather was very promising for a hatch of some kind. Midges in the morning. Fished green Caddis Larvae, Midge, and other Nymph patterns with a light 10Ó tippet with little success. The water was very clear and low. It wasnÕt until around 12:00 when the little Black Stones started popping. The fish size was small, caught three 8Õ and one 10Õ Brown on Black Stones..of course the big one, maybe 16+ got awayÉ..broke off after a short play. All in all a great day on the river.
