Comments: I'm new to fly fishing and this was my first trip. I fished the Timber Coulee on both the 10th and 11th of September in the morning on both days. Without any experience I was casting flies I felt comfortable with (ones I could cast and see without much of a problem). I caught an 8" brown trout on the first day and that was it. I caught it on a mostly yellow with some black "Wolly-Bugger" fishing it just below the surface. I had two strikes the following day on the same fly, but missed them both. Other than that I did not have any luck. I'm not sure what size the fly was because I'm not really up to speed yet on how the sizing goes. Anyhow, that was my experience. Good luck.
