Weather: mostly sunny,mid 80's,humid
Water: clear to slightly off color
Hatches: tricos,hoppers,slight caddis
Time: early morning-evening
Comments: Fished Timber and nearby Spring Coulee and Coon Creek with most time spent on Timber Coulee. First time in the area, beautiful countryside. Had marginal success with numbers of trout and the largest was a 12 1/2" brown. Major storms this summer washed out quite a bit of aquatic vegetation. Ran into Steve Heuser on Sat. and Sun. and turns out he found the honey holes where tricos were clouding nicely with good spinner falls. Caught my fish on a variety of flies-trico,EHC,Adams,brook trout streamer, and purple wooly bugger. Alot of people on the streams but there was ample room to fish and plenty of access sites. Tight lines
