Comments: Traveled to Platteville for a short weekend visit. Looked at several pieces of water ( Big Green, Blue, Castle Rock ) still slightly off color and being heavily fished. Called Spring Creek Anglers to research conditions in the Valley. Spoke to Andy Sobota who agreed to meet me the next morning. We fished a beautiful piece of water ( call Andy for more details and his rates ) exclusively with nymphs. No real hatches to speak of. Fished all morning to heat of afternoon. Landed approx. 10 Browns and lost approx. 10. Several fish landed were 10 - 12 inches, perhaps one landed and one lost was about 14 - 15. Take it from a Toledo,OH guy, you are lucky to have such water and people like Andy to show it to you! Obviously I plan to re-visit. Patterns used varied- the names you know, though.
