Water: debris and stained
Hatches: sporadic midge
Time: mid-day

Comments:
just an exploratory trip to scope out access and look for the indications of a hex hatch. The river is a little on the mucky side--good for hex. But it seemed "cattle stomped" at the county J access. The wind and previous nights "summer dumper" of heavy quick rains made the stream look like an unproductive wasteland. The 90 degree heat didnt make things any better. Im sure that i would see something more encouraging from here should i return, but the conditions really put a damper on my optimisim and sense of adventure. saw no rises, no fish, swung a small black wooley bugger hoping that the siluouette may get one, but saw no action at county j access, or 131 access. Can someone cheer me up and tell me this place is worth driving to again?
