Comments: Caught lots of nice fish during extremely heavy green caddis hatches. Caddis flys were everywhere; on the water, in the air, in my hair, etc. I had not much luck on an elk hair dry, then switched to a La Fontain-pattern. After a couple of smallish browns, I switched to an olive BH Hare's Ear and instantly nailed a 16" brown. I caught and released several more, then as I was talking to an acquaintance (Nice to meet you, Phil) on the river bank, hooked a very large fish (18-20"?) that we really never saw. After a good fight the fish worked the hook out of his mouth and it was time for me to go home.
