Comments: First time fishing the Rush River. I have never seen so many trout In my life. DNR shocking report 2500 fish per mile - I believe it. My friend and I canoed it from Martell to El Paso. Managed to only catch 7 trout. My friend caught about 10. The water was crystal clear and the trout were very spooky. Had to resort to riffle water to even stand a chance of catching fish. I will return on a cloudy day next time.
