Weather: 70 and sunny
Water: clear and low
Hatches: BWO,Hendrickson,Caddis
Time: 5-8pm
Comments: Walked two miles downstream from El Paso at about 4pm. I stopped at a nice pool where trout were rising like mad. The Caddis were thick, and the wrong color. They were a grayish color, and I had the white/ginger Elk Hair tied and ready for action. I did pick up two nice 10 inchers after about 20 casts. I then switched to a Henryville Special that looked damn close to the Caddis that were coming off, and caught 5 more. One was about 15 inches. Nice Fish!! The fish seemed to slow down around 6, so I tied up a Nymphin rig. Bead Head Crystal Prince at point, and a pheasant tail dropper. Started upstream again and wouldn't ya know it--They started rising to something else! Possibly spinners-couldn't identify. So I switched back to my 7x leader and tied on a 16 BWO. Caught 2 more Browns and 1 Brookie. By sunset I was back at my Chevy and on the road again. What a great day!
