Comments: Fished the Rowan at all three access points, No luck outside of poiynette Hate fishing brush and sand bottoms, so I concentrated on the section just around Hwy 51, nice structure, Beautiful habitat work by the DNR and fellow Trout Unlimited members.
Total of 13 Brookies caught and released. Three of them about 10 inches a few larger seen but couldn't get a nymph down to them and not hang up on the brush, trees, etc. everything except 2 were on a size 12 foam ant with black rubber legs and a small size 14 yellow foam hopper. The stream is full of hydropsyche pupae ranging from sizes 14 to 18, but nothing hatching. Stream temperature holding fairly steady in the 65-68 degree range. Its getting tougher and hotter.
