Streamside Report

ROOT

RACINE

9/16/98

Weather: OVERCAST / 65 DEGREES
Water: LOW AND MURKY
Hatches: none
Time: 6:30AM-8:00AM

Comments: After reading the latest reports on the Root and realizing the recent rainfall I decided to head out early and scout the Root below the Steelhead facility . I saw about a dozen Kings and one small steelie . All were sighted in the Island area below riffles (although there were some below the facility as well). The water was still very low and somewhat murky . I presented to several Kings in various colors and types with no avail . Maybe next week after the expected rain this weekend .
