Comments: The root river is dead. The water is still dingy from the floods a couple of week prior. The bottom is still muddy on the downstream side of the rocks. When you walk, you kick up a lot of junk. I fished all day and only caught three tiny little brooks. Not one was over 8". It might take a while to clear out. I would give it a couple of weeks if you don't want to waste your time.
