I AM A VOLUNTEER ON THESE RIVERS WORKING TO ENSURE THAT THE RIVER REMAINS OPEN AND A PLEASURABLE FISHING EXPERIENCE. IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS I HAVE NOTICED THE INCREASED PRESSURE AND GROWING DISREGARD FOR THE REGULATIONS, RESPECT FOR FELLOW FISHERMAN AND THE ALARMING SLAUGHTER OF FISH. IVE SEEN MORE GUYS WITH NETS ALONE, Or large cleos raking fish out of the water, and working in team to rodeo the fish to shallow water. Last year on the root I saw a guy with about 7 steelhead dead on the bank, with a large rock on one of the runs, no rod in sight. there is a rumor that guys are coming to the runs at night to harvest large numbers of fish for sale. I have made a commitment to give up this year's fishing to walk the river and notify rangers of extreme violations.
