Streamside Report

Prairie River

Lincoln

5-30-97

Weather: Sunny, windy, warm
Water: High, slightly dirty
Hatches: Sparse tan Caddis, A few Light Cahills
Time: 3:00 p.m. until Dark

Comments: Did well with Tan Elk Hair Caddis flies. Quite a few small Browns 7-9 inches and a nice 15 inch my partner stalked for some time. The Brookies produced some larger fish with one over 12 inches. The Caddis hatch is getting lighter and with the warmer temps of this weekend, the larger Mayflies should ( w/ fingers crossed) start. It is bad when one comes home from fishing to find it hard to read the paper cause his eyes can't focus from stareing at tiny dry fly all day... ... or maybe it's a good thing:}

Either way, Good fishing...
