Streamside Report

Prairie River

Lincoln County

26,27, May, 1997

Weather: mostly sunny,windy, and warmer
Water: About normal, WARMER
Hatches: Midges and Tan Caddis Flies
Time: Mid Afternoon til Dark

Comments: The water has FINALLY warmed and the dryfly fishing is what I remember it to be. Fast, furrious, and frustrating. The fish are riseing everywhere yet are quite finicky on presentation. I need a long session at the tying bench. Some very good fish were released the last couple of days including a nice 18" brown my partner hooked up with useing an olive elk hair caddis(size 16).

The bloods pumping now...
