Comments: Wow!!!!! What an opening day on the Prairie. I caught 14 brook trout today using streamers. 2 of the fish were better than average size - 12" and 13".
My friend also picked up 10 trout including 1 14" brown using nymphs with a strike indicator. Water temp was 38 degrees with a few midges hatching between 11:30 and 1:30. We could use some rain or a quick spring run off to bring the water level up.
