Weather: sunny/overcast, 65-70 deg.
Water: high!
Hatches: small caddis, couple o' drakes in the air
Time: 7-10 p.m.
Comments: Fished near Hatley. Quite a few people fishing around the bridges. Small caddis hatch was winding down when I got there, and fish were a bit sluggish. Worked my way upstream. About dark, I landed a nice 13" brown on a #12 royal wulff. Caught a couple o' chubs, man are they FAT! I was tempted to feed the the coons with them, but decided to let some big brown dispose of them. Hex hatch is pretty much over, or not begun??? They were gonna go right before this cold spell, and I've heard that they went on warm days in between. I still have mu doubts though, as I still see some in the air and falling onto the water from trees. Oh well, better pack up the big flys and wait till next year's hatch.
