Streamside Report
Weather: clear and sunny low 70's
Water: A bit low and clear
Hatches: Hendrickson, Caddis, Midges
Time: Evening
Comments: The fish were rising when I got to the river and it did not take long to land a few and release them. There were only a few Hendrickson on the water, there were some caddis flying about and a good number of midges on the water. It did not seem to mater what pattern (Hendrickson, Caddis, Griffith Gnat) I tied on the fish were willing to take it. I was just one of those good days.
The Pine did seem low for this time of year. There seem to be a good number of fish in the river. The biggest fish of the evening was a great looking 12" brown he was all ready getting that humpback look to him. I did see a few bigger fish, one of which tried to take my fly but missed and another that wrapped me around a log but thatŐs typical of the Pine if logs and stick don't get you hung up in the water they'll get you on your back cast.
