Fished the North Branch of the Oconto River near Mountain. The river was running clear and cold. A good hatch of midges ocurred throughout the day. Also saw a light hatch of BWO. The fish were hitting regularly but it was hard to get solid hookups. Landed a few brook trout in the 8-10" range and missed many more. My partner landed a beautiful 13" brookie. Great fishing is yet to come.
