Comments: I've been Winter fishing the Oconto just below the bridge in Stiles for several weeks now, and a lot of fun is waiting for anyone willing to brave the cold.
Yesterday the dam was opened and water levels were high, didn't find anything in the fast water, but when the levels were lower the fishing was great. Caught 25 browns in an hour on the 19th. Almost all were small, but they were a lot of fun anyhow.
Fished a #12 Pass Lake Wet on top and a #16 Bead Head Ph. Tail on the bottom. The fish were taking both. Way too much fun.
