Weather: sunny cool low 40's
Water: normal, some debris
Hatches: nothing visible
Time: 4-6:30 p.m.

Comments: Out for a couple of hours. Caught more brush than trout. One other fisherman in the lower section, so I went a mile upstream. Had only one fish on, an 8 inch brown that got off before I could land him. Tried small hare's ears and pheasant tails, but hardly got a look from the fish. I switched to an olive scud which I hooked the brown with; also got some refusals with it. I saw half a dozen sculpins which I've never seen here before (possible stocking by DNR or others?). I also jumped 7 mallard drakes and a pair of wood ducks; I'll be bringing my shotgun come Fall.
