Weather: sunny, very windy
Water: normal
Hatches: chironomids
Time: 4 p.m.
Comments: Only out for an hour, but I hooked two browns, 9& 10 inches. Nothing to really speak of in the way of hatches. Casting was difficult to say the least. The sheltered areas with higher slopes offered the only refuge from the wind, leaving some of the better pools unfished. I spooked a nice size brown (18-20) from under the bank of a wind-exposed section. I'll get him next time!
