Water: level low/clear
Hatches: none noted
Time: late afternoon

Comments: Small silver spinners below 18 foot falls were the ticket today for myself and my eleven year old son Kris. Three browns each fifteen to seventeen inches and full of fight! The pool just below the falls and several undercuts within 3/4 mile stream downstream were where we caught these beauties. Five smaller browns were caught and released. A bit of a rough walk up and over the rocks to get there and hip boots took quite a beating(I'd wear my hiking shoes and carry my boots next time) but it was worth the wear. A youngsters' first trout fishing experience that will not be his last. Black flies welted us up pretty good this day even though they were sparse. River is wide enough here for fly fishin. Check it out!!!
