Weather: 75 and sunny
Water: clear
Hatches: caddis
Time: 10:30-2:00
Comments: Was quite the day! As the air warmed so did the fishing. The trout got happy when the caddis came out to lay their eggs about 1030 and the action continued until well after 200. An Elk Hair Caddis did the trick on some 20 to 25 brown trout. Was fishing above quality waters so size was marginal, however, did manage 9 trout over 12 inches and the coloration on a few was astounding.
Fish were spooky and wary! If you crept up on them, then the proper cast almost always drew the take. Light tippets and NO drag! Best caddis dry fly fishing since Durango, CO.!!!!!!!!
