Comments: Took off after school to spent the evening on the stream. A friend and I(you know him Pat, his name is Ryan Werth-scotts son)spooked many fish upstream of the county U bridge. Fished undercut banks with small nymphs for a while with no hits. Switched to streamers and had a number of strikes to a Hornberg fished down and across, no fish landed though. The water is amazingly clear in Mount Vernon this time of year compared to other streams in this part of the state, so a tippet of 6-7x is required. Plan your approach carefully so as not to put down these wary fish.
