Comments: Checked out 'ol Mount Vernon to see how she looked for the start of the season. As always, this stream is full to the brim and clear as gin. The treamendous spring flow keeps this stream clear all year long. TINY OLIVES were coming out of the riffles!!! Expect this on any sunny day early in the season. Did a quick siene and found nymphs and emergers in about a size 24. Didnt, however, see any fish rise. Water temp is at 52 degrees. See ya on the stream and tight lines.
