I fished the Lower Mecan River off Hwy.22 late Friday afternoon. From about 5:00-8:30. The river is quite low for this time of year. High winds ruined any chance for decent dryly fishing. There were a few sulfurs coming off but sparse. Took one nice brown about 15", along with some smaller (much) fish. With these conditions I've been swinging or dead drifting a #16 wet fly of my own design. It sure looks like a caddis to me, but who knows.
