Comments: Thought I would take advantage of the early season and fish one last time before the opener. The bright clear skies this afternoon made the trout a bit shy. I sought out some of the shaded areas in the special regs area of the Mecan and had fair success with some browns. Best fish of the afternoon was about 15" taken on a #16 2x Casual dress. I'm not much into nymphs but the fish just wouldn't come up for anything in the pools. On the riffle water I used soft hackles and some caddis emerger patterns which all worked to some degree.
