Streamside Report

Little Wolf River

Waupaca

May 1, 1999

Weather: Sunny and warm
Water: Extremely low
Hatches: Some black caddis
Time: Late afternoon

Comments: After spending the morning and mid day on the Tomorrow River we went to the Little Wolf above Cty J (Category 5 water). The water level was extremely low. We actually waded up the rapids with little difficulty. The caddis were out and we managed a couple of small brooks and tons of little chubs.

We really need a lot of rain to fill up the sand bogs and get our water levels back up. I'm worried what things will be like by summer if we don't get rain soon.
