Weather: sunny to overcast
Water: slightly off color
Hatches: none
Time: 3:00pm-8:00 pm
Comments: Returned to the Kinni after a couple of months absence and noted many changes in the topography of the river, presumably due to the torrential rains received this summer. Several areas near or in the river had been filled by sand and rocks up to bowling ball size. This also changed the channel of the river in some places, so, as in all rivers, your favorite hole may not be there anymore. Fishing was slow, with only two fish caught on beadhead hare's ear and black stone, both size 16. A couple of rises were visible at 3:00, but all surface activivty tapered off by 5:00. Only one other group fishing, a father and son who also experienced slow fishing. The slow fishing, together with super sized version of nettle growing nearly everywhere, made it only a little better than being at work.
