Comments: Went fishing on 4-2 and 4-3 and my friend and I have no fish to show for our efforts. Water is really high and it is still muddy. The suckers are at full run, and most of the time you can feel the suckers running between your waders. My friend Jesse and I fished from opening light until noon, and we only saw a few fish caught and most of these fish were caught on spawn sacs during the earliest part of the day. However, fly-fisherman are having some success fishing yarn and spawn immitations.
There was also a hatch of black spiders(did not take a close look)on the river, but the fishermen who had this pattern tied on did not seem to fair much better than me and my friend. I don't think the run is in full swing yet. Good fishing is still to come.
