Comments: Fished kewaunee river on Friday/Saturday 4/18-19. Only had an hour to fish on friday and caught nothing. Although I saw a good number of fish on stringers. Hit the stream saturday morn at 5:30am. The shallows were overflowing with steelies. Lost three to broken line. As the sun came up and roving anglers chased the fish to deeper holes, I switched to an egg sucking leech patern. A friend and I just hammered the fish with this patern. Between the two of us we had on around 20 fish and landed half. Both hens and bucks would attack the pattern. Eventually after every angler on the kewaunee river was standing on our shoulders we called it quits. With a congregation of around 20 people that gather to cross lines with us, we were the only two that had any action! We were the only one that had egg sucking leech patterns. People literally tried to force us out of our spot because we were catching fish and they were not. What ever happen to fishing etiquette!
?? Most guys we saw spent most time walking up and down the bank looking for fish. You can't catch them if you dont get your line wet! Ninety percent of the fish we caught we never saw. I stayed in the same spot all day and never moved. I let the fish come to me instead of looking for them. Had a few words with some snaggers who were ripping cleos through the stream. After approaching them on snagged fish and reminding them of the rules, they still kept it.
UNBELIEVABLE
