Hi All,
There will be no annual meeting this year.
All of our brushing projects are complete and there is not much going on in the way of stream improvement work on the Prairie. In addition the DNR will be tied up with public meetings around the state to gather input from trout anglers regarding regulations – more on that below.
Last year we donated a majority of our funds ($1800) to the WI DNR for stream improvement project on the Prairie (see attached document). Any remaining funds we have left at this time (less than $500) will be used for our newsletter mailings and to provide food and beverages for our annual spring clean up. Any additional funds donated to our group will be saved until such a time when there is a large enough amount to donate to another project on the Prairie in the future.
Mark your calendars for the following events:

Friends of Prairie
The Friends of the Prairie River organization was formed in January 1998 to help maintain its cold, clean waters and esthetic beauty and to benefit Prairie River trout populations and habitat. The Friends of the Prairie represent those who use the river for recreational purposes, those who live near its banks and all citizens interested in the preservation of the river as a natural resource. The Friends of the Prairie primary purposes are to promote the continued improvement of water quality in the river and to maintain and restore existing habitat and wildlife in the river.
