Comments: Fished a Forest co. spring pond for the first time. Fish seemed very sluggish with not many rises a.m. or p.m. It snowed thurs. and fri. which probably dropped the water temps. a bit. Caught an 18" brown on black wolly worm and my dad picked up a 16" brown in a.m. Caught 2 brookies on griffith gnat in p.m. with a few other hits. Too busy looking at the scenery to set the hook. Fished the Brule Cr. during mid day, looked like an army of fisherman went through the area in the morning. My brother managed to pick up two brookies. Looking forward to warmer weather up north to try spring pond fishing again.
