Dark Tents?
Jul 20th, 2022 at 9:53am

Does anyone here camp using a dark room tent? I've been googling popup dark room tents and am wondering about their longevity, and also if they present a condensation problem.

Shouldn't be a problem since they are vented or have vents you can open.  Which ones you looking at?  I've been looking at some myself.

I queued those links and the tent that looks the winner (Eureka Assault) seems unavailable anywhere. Go figure. I did more Net reading else wheres and found some 'dark' tents can be like sleeping in a garbage bag - at the cost of sealing out ambient light, they don't breathe well at all. The search continues.

Have you tried a sleeping mask?  I screw around a lot, but I'm not on this.  My kids both use them and swear by them.

Other than Halloween, I've not tried a mask and I doubt it would stay on me longer than a tick. Am now thinking a tarp thrown over the tent might be the trick or treat.

If you wrapped your head in duct tape after putting on the mask it would stay put.  I'm just sayin'.

No-no-no can do on the fourth, Henry.
That would cover up my aluminium foil hat.
